Peru’s Li & Pazos opens litigation area, adds new partner
Peruvian law firm Li & Pazos has announced the creation of its litigation and controversy solution practice, and the addition of Álvaro Palao as a partner, and who will lead the new practice.

An expert in litigation and arbitration with a more than a decade’s experience, he joins the firm from Rubio Leguía Normand, where he held the position of senior associate, a position he also held at Estudio Olaechea, where he worked from 2014-19.
He holds an LLM from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and an MBA from the ESAN Graduate School of Business, and a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
Li & Pazos Abogados was founded in 2020 by Julián Li, Juan Manuel Pazos Aurich, Luis Aliaga and Fernando Ikehara, who previously worked for law firm Lazo & De Romaña.
They launched the firm together with four associates and offer legal services to companies in a variety of sectors, including mining, energy, agriculture, industrial production and transportation.
