KWM acts for EKZ Renewables on Spanish photovoltaic plant deal
King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) advised Swiss company EKZ Renewables on the acquisition of the Algibicos photovoltaic solar project in Murcia, Spain.
The Algibicos project will have a total capacity of 49.08 megawatts and an annual production of 93 gigawatts.
Construction of the €40 million project is underway, with completion expected in the last quarter of this year.
The KWM team included partner Gonzalo Olivera and senior associate Alberto Artés.
Earlier this year, KWM advised Galp on an agreement with ACS Group to acquire, develop and build solar photovoltaic projects in Spain with a total capacity of 2.9 gigawatts (GW), which would meet the energy requirements of 1.8 million households.
