Peruvian law firm Stucchi, Bezada Rodas & Pelaez has announced the incorporation of José Antonio Tirado Barrera as a partner.

José Antonio is an expert in administrative law, public contracts, constitutional law and litigation and is a former legal director at the country’s antitrust watchdog Indecopi.

He graduated in law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. In recent years this experience has been focused on the legal regime of public-private partnerships and advising on sanctioning procedures (in the areas of antitrust and consumer protection.

He is a member of the list of arbitrators of the Lima Chamber of Commerce and is a professor at the PUCP and ESAN Graduate School of Business..

For the past 12 years, José Antonio has held the position of professor of administrative law at the ESAN Graduate School of Business and also taught on the undergraduate program in the same discipline at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú between 2012 and 2018.

He worked at Indecopi, first as legal director and later as advisor to the president of the board of directors, between 2011 and 2016, and has also held the position of legal director at the Universidad del Pacífico and as associate at law firm Estudio Grau.
