Colombian law firm Rincón Castro Abogados has announced its launch, co-founded by lawyers Rafael Rincón and Miguel Castro.

“This is a project that we started a few years ago to offer to the national and international market our services in international arbitration and dispute resolution, infrastructure, public law and international law,” the firm said in a statement.

“We are proud that, as of this year, our friend Jorge Tirado Navarro has joined the firm as a partner to deepen our practice in public law, particularly in the areas of administrative law and government contracting. From Rincón Castro Abogados SAS we will continue in our work of representing the interests of our clients in arbitration and international and domestic litigation.

We undertake this path together with the entire team that has been with us for several years and with some new incorporations from abroad,” the firm said.

In addition to the abovementioned lawyers, the Bogotá-based firm’s team also comprises Juan Ignacio Guerra Toro, Ana María Rincón Ordóñez, Juan Camilo Artunduaga Escobar, Santiago Vernaza Civetta, Esteban Chávez Ramos, Santiago Suárez Chaves, Daniela Walteros Rivera, Ana Isabel Cano Bará, Jose David López Montoya, Laura María A., Isabela Blanco Gómez and Víctor Negret.

Co-founding partner Rafael Rincón spent six years as a partner at Colombian law firm Zuleta Abogados Asociados in the dispute settlement and investment protection practice. His practice focuses on investor-state arbitration, international commercial arbitration, international litigation, dispute boards and counseling related to the energy, infrastructure and oil and gas industries.

He is experienced in public and private international law and in dispute settlement involving states and state entities in multiple jurisdictions, and is a member of the list of national and international arbitrators of the Bogotá and Cali chambers of commerce.

He holds an LLM from New York University School of Law and a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.

For his part. co-founding partner Miguel Castro also previously worked at Zuleta Abogados Asociados, where he was a partner for more than five years. He holds an LLM from University College London and a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana with a specialization in administrative law.
