Cosmos operates in the main ports of both the Peruvian coast and jungle, offering maritime agency and stevedoring and stowage operations, while Andino is a Peruvian group that manages companies that develop and operate airport infrastructure and logistics services.

Andino, a Peruvian group with more than 49 years of experience in the market,  manages leading companies that develop and operate airport infrastructure and services, real estate logistics and financial logistics.

"With the acquisition of Cosmos, the group strengthens its activities in the maritime logistics and port operations sector, consolidating its position as a leader in the Peruvian logistics sector," Carlos Vargas Loret de Mola, CEO of Andino, said.

"This acquisition will enable our group to increase our offering of integrated maritime, land and air logistics solutions to foreign trade companies," he added.

Peruvian law firm Hernández & Cía Abogados advised Andino Investment Holding on the acquisition of the shares that DP World Group held in Cosmos, and through which Andino acquired 100% of Cosmos’ capital stock, becoming its sole shareholder.

The law firm’s team was led by partners Juan Luis Hernández and Sandro Cogorno Falcone, with senior associate Gloria Zubizarreta and associate Rafaela Chumpitazi.

The sellers were advised by law firm Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano Abogados, with a team led by partner Luis Enrique Palacios, with associate Efraín Salazar.
