Wide Group acquires Assimood Broker

Wide Group, Italy’s leading insurance brokerage firm, has acquired Assimood Broker, a Rome-based brokerage entity founded in 2017. The transaction confirms Wide Group’s development strategy, which focuses on integrating established and highly specialised firms to strengthen its service offering and meet the needs of an evolving client base through a model that integrates consultancy and advanced technology.

Wide Group was assisted by BonelliErede with a team led by partner Giulia Bianchi Frangipane and comprising senior associate Luca Benasso, associates Elena Cozzupoli and Francesca Gea Rusconi, and Riccardo Rao Genovese. Due diligence activities were carried out by beLab’s Transaction Services team, led by managing director Michel Miccoli and coordinated by director Andrea Terrieri and senior legal advisor Nicolò Vallefuoco.

The sellers of Assimood Broker were assisted by Ughi e Nunziante with a team comprising partner Pietro Orzalesi and counsel Agostino Frau for corporate and contractual matters, and partner Luciano Racchi for employment law aspects. The tax profiles of the transaction for the target were handled by Studio Palazzo, with partner Giulio Palazzo.
