Riverstone, a company from the province of Vicenza, has acquired 80 percent of Ideapack Italia, a Padua-based company specializing in luxury packaging for wines and spirits.
As a result of the acquisition, the Schievano family, previous owners of Ideapack, will ensure continuity in the management of the company through the entry of Giada Schievano, who will retain a 20 percent stake and continue to look after the family business.
Advisors to the transaction were Cba studio legale e tributario for the acquiring party and Grimaldi Alliance, together with studio Cantoni, for the sellers.
The Cba team was led by partner Ilaria A. Belluco, flanked by senior associate Alessia Crozzoli. “We are particularly pleased to have supported Riverstone in such a relevant acquisition for the entrepreneurial fabric of the Northeast, which confirms our commitment to the territory alongside entrepreneurs and private equity funds,” said attorney Belluco.
The Schievano family has been assisted on the legal side by Grimaldi Alliance, with partners Alessandro Polettini and Matteo Stradiotto and associates Lucia Comisso and Silvia Frigo, and on the tax and financial side, as well as for the role of advisor to the selling party, by the firm Cantoni of Padua with name partner Barbara Cantoni and senior associate Andrea Marcato. Attorney Stradiotto said, “We are pleased to have assisted the Schievano family in this delicate transition that will contribute to Ideapack's growth while keeping the company's values intact, thanks also to the important role taken on by Giada Schievano.”
The transaction also saw the involvement and direction of Circlebrainin as strategic advisor, with partner Federico Fiamengo assisting Riverstone in the preparation and execution of the deal.
