Quantum Systems Launches Quantum Frontline Industries Joint Venture with Ukraine’s Frontline Robotics
Posté le 24 févr. 2026

QFI forms part of the “Build with Ukraine” initiative and represents a new model of cross-border defense collaboration: battle-tested Ukrainian drone technology combined with German industrial manufacturing capabilities and regulatory infrastructure. The systems produced in Germany will be supplied exclusively to the Ukrainian defense forces.
By relocating production to Germany, the joint venture enhances industrial resilience, scalability, and long-term planning certainty within the European legal and compliance framework. The initiative also reflects a broader strategic trend toward closer integration between the European and Ukrainian defense industries.
GreenGate Partners advised Quantum Systems on all legal aspects of the structuring and implementation of the joint venture, including corporate governance, regulatory and security matters, as well as complex IT, IP and licensing issues. The mandate involved navigating sensitive export control and compliance considerations, making it both legally and politically significant.
The GreenGate team was led by Dr. Diethelm Baumann (Commercial Aviation & Defense, Lead Partner, Munich), and included Alexander Tribess (IT/IP, Partner, Hamburg), René Spitz LL.M. (USC), LL.M. (Corporate, Partner, Munich), Constantin Forstner (Corporate, Senior Associate, Munich), and Tobias Huber (né Perchermeier) (Commercial Aviation & Defense, Associate, Munich).
Dr. Diethelm Baumann, Lead Partner at GreenGate Partners, commented: “This joint venture represents more than an industrial partnership – it is a strategic milestone for the European defense sector. We are proud to have supported Quantum Systems on this complex and forward-looking project.”
