Bondstone, which is understood to have a total of €400 million to invest in the Portuguese real estate market, co-invests alongside limited partners seeking a “reputable and reliable local partner to pursue real estate opportunities in Portugal”.
In early 2020, Bondstone took over Louvre Capital’s assets and platform. Louvre Capital has been active in the Portuguese real estate market since 2016 and has structured and developed a portfolio of residential assets involving projects that represent a total investment of €100 million.
Bondstone currently has €130 million of assets under management.
Bondstone has been appointed by Universtone – a global private equity real estate investment and development firm with a global portfolio of more than 870,000 square metres valued at €1.7 billion – as its partner to pursue real estate opportunities in Portugal.
Paulo Loureiro is the founder and CEO of Bondstone. He was formerly the managing partner of Louvre Capital. Prior to founding Louvre Capital and Bondstone, Loureiro was an executive director at Morgan Stanley in New York.
Universtone is the main financial sponsor of Bondstone and Arnaud Khodara, its founder, is the chairman of Bondstone’s advisory board.
Bondstone is seeking to invest in the office, residential and hospitality sectors as well as in alternative assets such as student housing and senior living.
Bondstone’s business areas include asset management, investment origination, strucuturing and property management. The firm has offices in Lisbon, Porto and London.
