Pedro Pérez-Llorca relocates to Mexico City to accelerate its Internationalisation

Pérez-Llorca is accelerating its global growth with the launch of Project Scala, an internal project to fully leverage its internationalisation and consolidate its position as a leading Ibero-American law firm.
In 2025, the firm expects over 25% of revenue to come from outside Spain (Portugal, Mexico and Colombia), underscoring the strategic importance of international markets in its growth plan.
As part of this push, Senior Partner Pedro Pérez-Llorca will temporarily relocate to Mexico City for one year in 2026 to accompany the firm’s work in the Americas alongside the international leadership team headed by Iván Delgado (International Executive Partner, New York) and supported by Jorge Mondragón (Country Chair, Mexico) and Mauricio Piñeros (Country Chair, Colombia), together with local management bodies composed of Mexican and Colombian partners. Mr. Pérez-Llorca will continue in his current duties. The firm’s governing bodies and management structure—coordinated through the International Partnership Board—remain unchanged.
Since opening its first international office in London in 2015, the firm has built a solid cross-border network with offices in London, New York, Brussels and Singapore, and a domestic footprint across Spain, Portugal, Mexico and Colombia. Pérez-Llorca now operates seven local offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, Mexico City, Monterrey, Bogotá and Medellín, ensuring consistently high service quality and technical excellence in every jurisdiction.
Pedro Pérez-Llorca, Senior Partner, said: “In this new phase, we intend to fully leverage the opportunities created by our international strategy. Project Scala reflects our ambition to accelerate Pérez-Llorca’s future while maintaining our dedication to excellence and our commitment to the talent and development of all our professionals.”
Project Scala is supported by strategic consultants already working with the firm to identify and accelerate opportunities arising from this expansion, drive client efficiency, generate growth and value for the firm, and prepare a reorganisation of the group of companies to capture emerging opportunities and ensure the most effective structure.
