German law firm Oppenhoff has officially opened a new office in Munich as of 1 May 2026. Alongside its established offices in Cologne and Frankfurt, the Munich launch further strengthens Oppenhoff’s position on the German legal market.

The team is initially based at Promenadeplatz 12 in central Munich, while a permanent flagship office in the heart of the city is currently under construction and expected to open later this year.

According to the firm, the Munich office is intended to become a fully integrated part of Oppenhoff’s national platform rather than a satellite operation, “Munich represents a logical next step for Oppenhoff. The city is one of Europe’s leading business hubs and a key location for international clients.”

High-profile team joins from Dentons and POELLATH

To launch the new office, Oppenhoff is bringing in a team of highly experienced practitioners with strong reputations in corporate law, M&A, private equity and regulatory matters.

Effective 1 May 2026, partners Dr Alexander von Bergwelt, Florian Breitreiner, Dr Michael Heim, Dr Matthias Nordmann, LL.M., Alexander Reiner, LL.M., Sandra Weyrich and Till Schwichtenberg joined the firm.
