New criminal law and press law firm, Le Gall & Richardson, founded in Paris

After several years of practicing at leading criminal-law firms, Camille Le Gall and Laura Richardson have set up an independent law firm specializing in criminal and press law. The duo, who met while studying at law school, wanted to combine their complementary skills to offer comprehensive and effective defense services to French and international individuals and businesses.

The firm works with individuals, corporations and NGOs who are defendants or victims of crime throughout France and on multi-jurisdictional criminal cases, representing clients at each stage in a criminal proceeding including police investigations, judicial investigations, hearings, enforcement of sentences and enforcement of decisions for victims. It also carries out criminal regulatory risk assessments and prevention audits for French, other European and foreign corporations.

A graduate of the SciencesPo law school (master’s in economic law) and the University of Bath (BSC, politics with international relations) Laura Richardson had a stint as a trainee lawyer in the arbitration practice of Shearman & Sterling in London, before shifting her focus to criminal law. She has practiced at a number of leading law firms, specializing in general criminal law, business criminal law and press law.  Franco-American and perfectly bilingual, as a qualified French Avocat à la Cour she regularly assists English-speaking clients before French courts.

Camille Le Gall is no stranger to complex criminal cases. Skilled at both emergency defense and cases heard by specialist magistrates, she has developed solid expertise in criminal procedure. She has a master’s in Franco-German business law from the University of Paris - Nanterre and a master’s in intellectual property law from the University of Strasbourg. A qualified French Avocat à la Cour, Le Gall is bilingual and works in French and in English.

Both Richardson and Le Gall were admitted to the Paris Bar in 2019.
