Mirai Robotics, an advanced robotics laboratory powered by artificial intelligence, has successfully closed a pre-seed investment round totalling $4.2 million (€3.5 million). The startup’s primary objective is to develop the robotic infrastructure required to make marine environments more manageable, secure, and observable, addressing the challenge of autonomy as a comprehensive engineering and industrial undertaking rather than purely a software development task.
The financing round represents one of the most significant early-stage investments within the Italian robotics sector. The operation was led by Primo Capital, Techshop, and 40Jemz Ventures, with participation from several Italian and international investors.
Mirai Robotics was assisted by BonelliErede with a legal team comprising partner Giulia Bianchi Frangipane, managing associate Enrico Goitre, and associates Elena Cozzupoli and Sara Bernasconi.
Primo Capital was represented by FPB Legal, with a team led by partner Costanza De Porcellinis and associate Giorgia Macinagrossa. The notary aspects of the transaction were managed by Giovannella Condò, co-founder of Milano Notai.
