Mexico’s Sainz Abogados adds new partner

Mexican law firm Sainz Abogados has added Hugo López Coll as a partner, and who brings extensive experience in cross-border internal investigations and compliance, as well as in sophisticated transactions.

López Coll joins Sainz Abogados from Greenberg Traurig, where he was one of the founders of its Mexico City office.

He counsels clients on regulatory and compliance matters, and regularly assists clients with issues arising under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act  and other anticorruption and anti-money laundering laws.

He has developed a broad practice representing domestic and international clients on regulatory, investigations and compliance matters, and transactional and corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, as well as gaming issues.

He is admitted to practice law in New York and Mexico, and received his law degree, with honors, from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, and he holds and an LLM from Columbia Law School in the US.
