Aerocharter, a Mexican company engaged in the aviation services industry with more than 45 years in the market, has agreed the sale of a majority stake in the company to PrimeFlight Aviation Services, a portfolio company of The Sterling Group and Capitol Meridian Partners

The deal marks a strategic partnership between two seasoned companies for mutual growth.

Aerocharter and PrimeFlight Aviation Services are industry leaders joining forces to enhance operational efficiency, streamline resources, and capitalize on collaborative opportunities. This consolidation fortifies market presence, propelling new partners to new heights in innovation.

Mexican law firm Gonzalez Calvillo advised Aerocharter and its shareholders on the deal.

“The deal was particularly challenging given that the structure was negotiated at-length and implied the negotiation and closing of highly complex documents,” the law firm said.

Gonzalez Calvillo’s team was led by partner José Ignacio Rivero Andere, with senior associate Jacinto Ávalos Capín and associate Rodrigo Poumian González.

DLA Piper México acted as Mexican counsel to PrimeFlight, with a team led by partner Álvaro Garza-Galván, with associates Andrés Calderón Reta and José Luis Gutiérrez, while DLA Piper acted as US counsel to PrimeFlight, led by partner Alex Plakas, with associate Daniel Siegel.

Eugenio Arnoux Arena acted as Aerocharter’s in-house counsel.
