LPA Law continues to execute its European growth strategy with the arrival of the Austrian law firm Höhne, In der Maur & Partner, which will now operate under the name LPA Law Vienna. This move marks a significant step in the firm’s ambition to strengthen its footprint across key economic hubs in Europe.

Already well established in Germany, with offices in Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich, and supported by a prominent German Desk in Paris, LPA Law consolidates its presence in the German-speaking region through this strategic expansion. The addition of a Vienna office enables the firm to offer enhanced cross-border capabilities and reinforces its positioning as a leading European legal player.

Höhne, In der Maur & Partner brings decades of experience and a team of more than ten partners advising both domestic and international clients. The firm is recognised for its expertise in business law, intellectual property and IT, as well as real estate. It has also built a strong reputation in non-profit law, assisting numerous international organisations and associations.

This integration creates natural synergies, particularly given the cultural, legal and economic proximity between Austria and Germany. It will allow LPA Law to provide seamless and coordinated services across the entire German-speaking region. Vienna is also set to play a strategic role as a gateway to Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, supporting the firm’s ambitions in emerging markets.

The expansion aligns with LPA Law’s broader international development strategy, aimed at meeting the evolving needs of a global investor base. Ideally located at the crossroads of Europe, Vienna will serve both as a hub for Central European operations and as a platform for international investment flows, notably in connection with Asia, where LPA Law has an established presence through its offices and dedicated China and Japan Desks in Paris.

Frédéric Bailly, Partner and Managing Partner of LPA Law, commented: “Built on complementarity and a shared vision, this expansion reflects our determination, as a trusted partner, to support our clients in their cross-border activities – in Europe, Asia and Africa – by ensuring maximum legal security, anticipating regulatory and economic challenges, and responding to their needs with agility and excellence.”

Thomas In der Maur, founding partner of Höhne, In der Maur & Partner, added: “In this volatile environment, we have deliberately chosen to focus on a network headquartered in one of the most important capitals of the European Union. We look forward to working with our partners to expand the network in Europe and to offer national and international clients a comprehensive range of services in law, taxation and financing.”

With 15 offices worldwide and nearly 300 professionals, LPA Law continues to strengthen its international reach and its ability to support complex, multi-jurisdictional matters.
