Doumic Avocats has secured the services of one of France’s most promising young criminal lawyers, Julien Brochot. The Brittany native, who has been practicing criminal law for almost 15 years, boasts expertise on general criminal law, media criminal law, cybercrime, white-collar crime and criminal procedure. He is a pioneer in legal disputes related to civil-drone use, an activity that led to an ever-broader criminal-law practice associated with new technology and the internet, including online harassment, doxxing and cryptocurrencies.
Brochot has played an increasingly active role in the French legal profession’s governing bodies in recent years. He currently serves as the secretary general of the Paris Bar Association’s Criminal Law Institute, and is participating in the rewriting the French Code of Criminal Procedure, currently being undertaken by the Chancellery.
A member of the Bretons du Palais lawyers’ association, he has master’s degrees in criminal law (Aix-Marseille University) and private law (Pantheon-Assas University).
