Ema Health, an Italian company active in healthcare system innovation, has closed a €3 million seed funding round for Rosso, the first digital platform dedicated to the national blood transfusion supply chain.
The round was led by 360 Capital through its vehicle 360 Digitaly, alongside CDP Venture Capital SGR through the Digital Transition Fund – PNRR, a financial instrument funded by the NextGenerationEU programme aimed at supporting the digital transformation of Italian companies active in strategic sectors such as healthcare. Angelini Investments and several prominent figures from the Italian financial and entrepreneurial landscape also participated in the round.
Founded in 2023 by Chiara Schettino and Filippo Toni, Rosso is an integrated digital ecosystem enhanced by artificial intelligence, supporting donors throughout every stage of their journey and assisting healthcare facilities in the planning and advanced management of non-clinical activities. The funds raised will be used to expand the platform nationally, with the aim of strengthening the donation system and accelerating the digitalisation of collection centres.
Ema Health and its founding shareholders were assisted on legal matters by LCA Studio Legale, with the Emerging Companies & Venture Capital team comprising senior associate Carlo Filippo Bertero and associate Giovanni Binaghi.
360 Capital was assisted by K&L Gates, with a team comprising counsel Veronica Muratori and associate Lorenzo Fidanza.
"We believed in and invested in the Rosso project from its very first steps, when it was still a visionary bet. This important €3 million round confirms the soundness of our initial intuition and demonstrates how LCA can combine legal expertise and strategic vision to grow innovative companies capable of generating real social impact."
