Alejandro has experience in financing operations granted by multilateral and public international organizations, in financing operations with and without sovereign guarantee, granted to the Republic of Ecuador, among which include the expansion of the national electricity network, in an operation valued at $100 million, and the construction of a water supply expansion for the city of Quito in an operation valued at $70 million.
He has extensive experience in financing operations granted by private international financial institutions to private Ecuadorian companies, and which include financing granted to the concessionaire of the potable water and sewage service of Guayaquil in a transaction valued at $70 million, and financing granted to the first port concession under PPP modality in a transaction valued at over $300 million.
He has also advised several renewable energy companies in the two largest projects that have been awarded, as well as the company that built and maintains the largest wind farm in operation in Ecuador. He also has experience in advising companies that have developed PPP projects in the areas of roads, waste management and energy.
He has extensive experience in M&A transactions related to the mining, energy and telecommunications sectors, and has actively participated in the drafting of several bills, as well as secondary legislation related to the electric power, hydrocarbons and public-private partnerships sectors.
