Oliva brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance and cross-border transactions

Dunning Vallejo & MacDonald LLP has announced the appointment of Margarita Oliva Sainz de Aja as a partner, effective April 1, 2026, reinforcing its corporate and transactional practice in New York.

Margarita Oliva brings over two decades of experience in corporate finance and general corporate law, advising financial institutions and corporations on complex financing and commercial transactions across the Americas. She is widely recognised for her work on cross-border matters involving Spain and Latin America.

Her practice spans project finance, bank finance, capital markets and corporate transactions, including cross-border M&A, restructurings and outsourcings, advising clients ranging from multinational financial institutions to major corporates.

Throughout her career, she has advised businesses from Spain and Latin America on a wide range of financing transactions and strategic deals, supporting clients in navigating different legal systems, regulatory frameworks and market practices. She is known for combining strong technical expertise with a practical, business-oriented approach, as well as for leading multi-jurisdictional teams in complex cross-border transactions.
