Ed-tech company Digital House has acquired Acámica with the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Acámica Group’s holding company, Acámica Tecnologías.

Both Digital House and Acámica specialize in academic training in new technologies, and have between them trained some 350,000 students across Latin America.

The transaction was conducted through the subscription for common shares in Digital House Group’s holding company, Digital House Group, for the equivalent to 8.78% of its capital stock and voting rights.

With this merger, the availability of new digital education content will be strengthened and accelerated, so that more people will access remote training in digital skills to try to meet the huge demand posed by the new labor market, according to the two companies.

Under the deal, Acámica’s employees will become part of Digital House’s staff, which already numbers more than 350, reinforcing Digital House’s tech training in the region.

Law firm Bruchou, Fernández Madero & Lombardi advised Digital House, while Acámica was advised by Pablo Rojo on the transaction.

Bruchou, Fernández Madero & Lombardi’s team was led by partner Santiago Balbi, with associate Juan José Romano Blanco.
