World's largest law firm gets larger as it welcomes 10 from McLean & Kerr.

Dentons' rampant global expansion shows no sign of slowing, with the firm announcing the addition of 10 lawyers in Toronto to fuel its growth in Canada.

The firm welcomed a team from litigation and real estate boutique McLean & Kerr, comprised of transactional real estate partner Todd Davidson and real estate-focused litigator Sharon Addison. The group also includes Stuart LeMesurier, Leanne Fasciano and Elaine Gray, who will join as counsel, and a number of law clerks and legal assistants.

Commenting on the team's new environs, Addison said: “Dentons’ commitment to innovation is something that resonates strongly with us. Our clients are increasingly looking to us to provide innovative approaches to not just their legal needs, but also their broader business challenges. This holistic approach to working with clients is just one of the reasons we’re so pleased to be part of the Dentons team.”

Meanwhile, the firm's Toronto office managing partner Blair McCreadie outline the firm's Canadian growth strategy, explaining: "We are focused on being the leading global firm in the Toronto market. Adding depth and breadth to our team in Toronto is a key national priority for Dentons. This impressive group of individuals will provide added strength to our commercial real estate and leasing, commercial litigation, and construction practices as we continue to grow to meet the needs of our clients.”

The news continues an impressive period of expansion for the firm, following the announcement of seven new partnerships with firms across Africa, Latin America and Asia and its combination with a Hawaiian local firm.
