Ciro Colombara, a respected Chilean lawyer and litigator, has announced the launch of his new firm, Colombara Estrategia Legal, with which he intends to continue to pursue complex litigation cases and also focus on new technologies.

The firm, which Colombara has launched in partnership with attorney Aldo Díaz, will venture into the world of the metaverse and technology in the legal industry, and will be the first firm in Latin America to operate a virtual office.

The virtual office is located within the metaverse, providing a space in which users will be able to hold work meetings with specialized lawyers, using creative tools to tackle cases in an interactive and illustrative, three-dimensional way.

Also forming part of the new firm are Colombara’s former colleagues, Ricardo Rivadeneira and Rodrigo Zegers, who hold the position of partners, and José Antonio Viera Gallo, Andrés Manke Ignacio Melo and Rachel Grez, the latter a specialist in artificial Intelligence and new technologies, including blockchain, cryptocurrencies and NFT.

Prior to launching the new firm, Ciro Colombara was a founding partner of law firm Rivadeneira Colombara Zegers, which he co-founded in 2009.

“For more than 30 years we have practiced law locally and internationally, promoting and participating in matters and cases that have solved our clients' problems, but that have also established jurisprudence or contributed to generate social changes,” Colombara writes on his LinkedIn profile.

“We are interested in difficult legal assignments and we are motivated by innovation,” he adds, describing his new team as “interdisciplinary, seasoned and experienced”.

He is a certified lawyer at Chile’s Supreme Court of Justice and holds a degree in legal sciences from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and since 2000 has been the director of Chile’s Pro Bono Foundation, and since 2015 has been a director of the Pro Bono Network of the Americas.
