Chile’s NLD Abogados launches tax practice

The tax practice will offer comprehensive advice on tax matters, including transaction structuring, M&A, financing, tax planning for companies and high-net-worth individuals,

and representation in tax and customs litigation before administrative authorities and courts.

The new practice will be led by Javier Pérez Marchant, who joins the firm as director of the practice.

Javier graduated from the Universidad de Chile and holds a master’s degree in tax law from the same university,  and his outstanding academic background includes an LLM from New York University.

He has 11 years of experience as an associate at law firm Claro & Cía and has advised numerous companies and individuals on tax matters, participating in tax planning processes, structuring transactions, and defending clients in disputes before the tax authority.

Paulo Larrain, NLD’s managing partner, emphasized that the addition of Javier Pérez represents a strategic step for the firm. “Javier’s arrival allows us to integrate tax advisory services as an integral part of the legal services we offer our clients. His experience and expertise will enable us to assist them with increasingly complex tax matters”, he said.
