BSVA Studio Legale Associato expands economic criminal law and compliance practice with appointment of partner Silvia Martina

BSVA Studio Legale Associato has announced the arrival of Silvia Martina as a partner, as part of the strengthening of the firm's economic criminal law and compliance practice.
Silvia Martina provides procedural assistance and out-of-court consultancy to primary Italian and international clients, both individuals and legal entities. She has acquired significant experience in the main areas of economic criminal law, particularly in corporate, tax, customs, bankruptcy, and environmental crimes, as well as workplace safety and crimes against the Public Administration.
She also has consolidated expertise in assisting companies involved in proceedings related to the corporate liability of entities under Legislative Decree 231/2001 and in corporate compliance activities, with particular reference to the prevention and mitigation of crime risks. In this context, she handles the preparation and updating of Models of Organisation and Management and holds positions as a member of Supervisory Bodies. She regularly conducts internal investigations, including preventive defensive investigations, and manages whistleblowing reports.
A graduate with honours from the University of Milan in 2016, she qualified for the legal profession in 2019 and is registered with the Milan Bar Association. She serves as secretary of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the International Bar Association, is a member of the Italian Association for Transparency and Anti-Corruption, and is a member and secretary of the Criminal Justice Commission of the Milan Bar Association. Formerly a teaching fellow in advanced criminal procedural law at the University of Milan, she is an author of publications and regularly speaks at conferences in Italy and abroad on white-collar crime, anti-corruption, compliance, and artificial intelligence. She is annually invited by the New York City Bar Association and by the American Bar Association, Tax Section.
