BonelliErede expands London office with transfer of partner Augusto Praloran

BonelliErede has announced the transfer of Augusto Praloran, a partner in the Corporate and M&A practice, from its Milan office to London. The operation is part of the firm’s broader strategy to consolidate its cross-border expertise in corporate and M&A matters and to strengthen relationships with international clients interested in the Italian market.

Augusto Praloran joined BonelliErede in 2008 and was appointed partner in 2019. He possesses extensive experience in M&A, corporate law, and commercial contracting, with a specific specialisation in the private equity sector (focussing on infrastructure funds), high-end goods, FMCG, and manufacturing. In London, Augusto Praloran will work closely with managing associate Francesco Maria Farracchiati and the rest of the local team, while also contributing to the reinforcement of relationships with leading international law firms based in the City.

With approximately 20 professionals, including four partners, the London office of BonelliErede represents one of the most significant presences among Continental European law firms in the City. Massimiliano Danusso, president of BonelliErede and managing partner of the London office, commented that the transfer is a natural evolution of the firm’s international strategy, as London remains an essential market for clients investing in Italy. Eliana Catalano, managing partner of BonelliErede, added that the transfer will reinforce the firm’s ability to provide integrated assistance to international clients and confirms the commitment to investing in the London base.

Augusto Praloran stated that London constitutes a strategic hub for global investors and businesses looking at Italy. With this arrival, the London office adds Corporate and M&A to its existing competencies, which already include banking and finance, derivatives, debt capital markets, litigation, and international arbitration.
