Benvenuti a Milano: Dentons to open its office in Milan with 7 partners from DLA Piper and Italian boutique firm hELP

Dentons has opened an office in Milan after hiring 21 lawyers and 7 partners from DLA Piper as local employment firm, hELP.
Among the DLA partners who will be joining the Dentons team are Federico Sutti, who as managing partner will be focusing on the firm’s real estate sector together with Federico Vanetti and Maria Sole Insinga, who has been promoted to partner; Francesco Faggiano will be working on private equity, M&A and joint venture transactions; and finally, Matteo Falcione will be working on the firm’s energy sector. From the Italian boutique, Aldo Calza, co-founder of the firm after leaving DLA in 2011, will be managing the employment practice with his partner Iacopo Aliverti Piuri.
This year Dentons has heavily focused on expanding its representation after opening an office in Budapest in April and merging with the Chinese giant Dacheng in January. This resulted in the largest law firm in the world, bringing the headcount up to 6,600.
