Antas da Cunha Ecija has announced the integration of AMMC Legal into its partnership structure, reinforcing its capabilities in Public Law, Administrative and Public Procurement Law, Litigation and Arbitration, Territorial Planning, Urban Rehabilitation and Urban Planning, as well as Environmental and Energy Law.
As part of the integration, AMMC Legal’s founding partners, Isabel Abalada Matos and Isabel Moraes Cardoso, join as partners, along with their team of lawyers composed by 7 lawyers: Filipa Esperança (Counsel), Ana Pires da Silva (Counsel), Ana Carla Lázaro (Counsel), Ana Isabel Marques (Counsel), Francisco Cordeiro Ferreira (Senior Associate), Margarida Ferreira Marques (Senior Associate) and Ricardo Reis (Associate). The combined practice now brings together a larger specialized team in these areas.
“ This is a new chapter, built with the same conviction and rigor that have always guided us,” said Isabel Abalada Matos and Isabel Moraes Cardoso. “We are very enthusiastic about what this integration allows us to build for both our clients and our team. It was a carefully considered decision, as we understand what it represents and what we can achieve together.” They added: “A client-centric culture, technical rigor, and a focus on innovation, AI, and digital tools are values we have shared from the outset.” They also noted that the integration will enable the creation of a multidisciplinary team capable of addressing complex projects in areas such as territorial planning, public investment, and environmental and energy challenges.
Fernando Antas da Cunha, Managing Partner, stated: “The integration of AMMC Legal is a clear step in strengthening our value proposition in areas that are critical to the economy and institutions.” He emphasized that increasing regulatory pressure, public investment, and the energy transition make these practice areas central for companies, the State, and investors. He added that the firm aims to provide more comprehensive and integrated legal support: “Organizations are looking for holistic solutions, and by bringing together these teams, we are building a highly specialized and differentiated offering.”
The integration consolidates a larger and more experienced team in Public Law, Urbanism, Environment, and Energy, strengthening the firm’s ability to handle complex and high-impact matters.
