World Services Group (WSG), a global network of elite, top-ranked global practice firms, has elected its board of directors for the 2020-21 period, which will be headed by Ramón Moyano of Argentine law firm Beccar Varela.
WSG has more than 120 member firms in 150 jurisdictions, and 23,000 individual members.
The 2020-'21 board of WSG directors will be led by Ramón Moyano, with Stefan Erhag of law firm Delphi as chairman elect and Adam Handley of Minter Ellison as secretary.
Yvon Dreano of Jeantet has been elected to the post of treasurer, and J. Michael Bernard of law firm Dykema as chairman emeritus. The newly elected Directors will serve a four-year term.
“WSG is today a very strong and collaborative global organization through the hard work of Mike Bernard, chairman emeritus, the board members, regional councils, and all of our WSG member firms,” Ramón Moyano said.
“I am honored to serve as Chairman of such a successful organization with a one-of-kind platform, and I look forward to continuing to add value to WSG and its prestigious membership.”
The WSG Global Symposium & 2020 Annual Meeting, with more than 1,200 registrants, served as the platform from which J. Michael Bernard of Dykema transitioned his chairmanship to Ramón Moyano, and who extended his heartfelt gratitude and acknowledgement of dedicated participation to WSG’s outgoing directors, Dirk Kovlenbach of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, Shariza Noordin of Shearn Delamore & Co., Judy Whitehead of Graham Thompson, and Koos Pretorious of ENSafrica.
WSG also extended a special thank you to J. Michael Bernard, who served as WSG chairman from 2019-20, and the outgoing directors “for their exemplary years of service and support in the continuing growth and development of WSG.”
The WSG Global Symposium & 2020 Annual Meeting also marked the election of three new directors to the WSG Board: Anastasia Campbell of Graham Thompson, Jesus Colunga of Basham, Ringe y Correa, and Paul Carlyle of Shepherd and Wedderburn.
