Walder Wyss Bolster Team with New Partners and Counsel

Walder Wyss, a firm of over 150 lawyers and with offices across Switzerland, have bolstered their team with five new partners and six new counsel. The counsel and partners consists of three new hires alongside seven internal promotions.

Established in 1972, the multi-service Swiss firm are renowned for their market leading TMT and real estate practices, as well as significant expertise in all areas of tax and commercial law. These promotions, alongside the lateral hires, span the breadth of the firms’ practice areas.

 

New to the team, Roger Staub joins Walder Wyss as a partner in the information technology, intellectual property, and competition team, coming from Froriep where he held the position of head of the IP & Technology group. Counsel David Vasella, also a practitioner information and technology law, and Thiemo Sturny, who practices in the various areas of company law, are the other two new hires for the firm.

 

Ayesha Curmally, Michael Isler, Robert von Rosen and Stefan Knobloch, whom have been working within the firm for several years, have all been promoted to partner. Ayesha Curmally and Michael Isler focus their practices in the areas of inheritance law and IP & IT respectively. Both Robert von Rosen and Stefan Knobloch both hold expertise in mergers and acquisitions, with Knobloch focusing on international matters. 

 

The four associates at the firm whom have been promoted to counsel are Janine Corti, Alexandre Both, Michael Cartier and Dominik Hohler. Cartier, who also sits as an arbitrator, practices in the areas of arbitration and litigation. Corti works within the tax team and Hohler in the commercial and corporate team. Alexandre Both specializes in M&A and financial transactions.
