In April 2021, Sérgio Bronstein, Guilherme Potenza, Eduardo Zilberberg and Pedro Chueiri announced the launch of Bronstein, Zilberberg, Chueiri & Potenza Advogados.

In early April, leading attorneys Sérgio Bronstein, Eduardo Zilberberg, Pedro Chueiri and Guilherme Potenza sent shockwaves throughout Brazil's legal market by announcing the launch of a new venture capital powerhouse: Bronstein, Zilberberg, Chueiri & Potenza.


BZCP begins life with over 30 professionals and an impressive client portfolio consisting of over 200 startups and 30 funds, including the corporate venture capital (CVC) funds of major banks and open companies. The firm’s renowned founding partners hail from top-tier law firms such as Veirano Advogados, Ulhôa Canto, Rezende e Guerra Advogados and Dias Carneiro Advogados,  and have often played a leading role in the most prominent technology deals in Brazil, such as Didi Chuxing’s $1 billion acquisition of 99 Taxis in early 2018, the IPO of, the acquisition of Beleza na Web by Grupo Boticário and the acquisition of RD Station by Totvs, amongst others.

The Founding Partners

Sérgio Bronstein brings over 20 years of experience to his new challenge, having previously worked at major law firms, such as Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados, Latham & Watkins and Veirano Advogados. Academically, he obtained a Bachelor of Laws from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP), a specialization degree in Business Administration and Management from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and an LL.M. from Berkeley Law (USA).

Eduardo Zilberberg is noted for his robust track record in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital deals, joint ventures and corporate reorganizations, with over 15 years of experience in the legal market. He has previously practiced at distinguished national and international law firms, such as Felsberg Advogados, Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, Gunderson Dettmer and Dias Carneiro Advogados. Academically, Mr. Zilberberg holds an LL.M. from the prestigious Stanford University (USA).

Pedro Chueiri is a distinguished attorney with over 16 years of experience in the legal market who has previously worked for major firms Villemor Amaral Advogados, Cravath, Swaine & Moore and Ulhôa Canto, Rezende e Guerra Advogados. Academically, he holds a Bachelor of Laws from Universidade de São Paulo (USP), a specialization degree in Finance from FGV and an LL.M. in Corporate Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science (UK).

Guilherme Potenza is a renowned transactional attorney who specializes in tech-focused M&A, private equity, and investment funds mandates. He captained the Israeli desk at his former firm Veirano Advogados and has additionally practiced at notable US law firm Fenwick & West. Academically, Mr. Potenza obtained a Bachelor of Laws from USP, an LL.M. in Corporate Law from Insper and an LL.M. in Corporate Governance and Practice from Stanford University.
