In early January, prestigious law firm Veirano Advogados announced the arrival of a highly renowned group of 16 specialists in administrative, regulatory, telecommunications and competition matters. In addition to new partners Elinor Cotait, Ana Claudia Beppu, Enrico Romanielo, Beatriz França and Francisco Sampaio, the firm also welcomed a team of associates, interns and a consultant, in a move that reinforces its commitment to strengthening the existing practices and expanding its range of services.
“[It is] very positive to see the firm making another important strengthening move, especially in the year of its fiftieth anniversary,” explains managing partner Paula Surerus, adding that “the new team brings clear and concrete benefits to our current and future clients, besides all the potential integration with our partners and wide range of areas offered to the market.”
The new group will operate mainly out of the firm's São Paulo office, with two professionals based in Rio de Janeiro and another two in Brasília.

Elinor Cotait has over three decades of experience in the administrative and regulatory field, specializing in telecommunications, media, technology and privacy matters. Academically, she holds a Bachelor of Laws from Universidade de São Paulo (USP), in addition to a Certification of Excellence in Business by the Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley (USA).
Ana Claudia Beppu has over 20 years of experience in the administrative and regulatory arena, focusing on infrastructure, telecommunications, media, technology and privacy. Academically, she holds a Bachelor of Laws from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP), a Master’s in Law and Development from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and a specialization in Constitucional Law from Escola Superior de Direito Constitucional (ESDC).
Enrico Romanielo has over 15 years' experience practicing in antitrust and competition matters, with greater emphasis in the technology and telecommunications sectors. Academically, he holds a Bachelor of Laws and Economics from Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (UFU), a Master's in Commercial Law from USP and is a Post-Graduate in Economic Law from FGV.
Beatriz França has more than 15 years of successful experience in administrative and regulatory matters, especially in telecommunications and in the satellite industry. Academically, she holds a Bachelor of Laws and a postgraduate degree in Administrative Law from PUC-SP.
Francisco Sampaio is proficient in regulatory and administrative matters, focusing his practice on telecommunications and infrastructure issues, with almost 15 years of experience in the field. Mr. Sampaio has a Bachelor of Laws from PUC-SP, as well as a Master’s in Public Law from FGV.
