AWA has celebrated its sixth month anniversary with Pronovem after the successful merger of June 2019.
Leading intellectual property consultancy firm, the AWA Group, expanded its foothold in Europe through its fusion with specialist intellectual property firm Pronovem.
Pronovem’s offices across Belgium, Switzerland and the Netherlands are now an integral part of the AWA Group, which includes offices in Beijing and Hong Kong. The Luxembourg office continues to operate under the Pronovem name.
The merger has allowed AWA to support its clients in new markets and enhances its diversity and language capabilities. In total, the group now boasts 21 offices spanning two continents and 350 employees. This was a significant step forward for the Scandinavian outfit, whose strategy has always involved expansion within Europe with an eye on the Chinese market.
Client feedback on the combination has been outstanding, according to Magnus Hallin, the CEO of AWA, who commented: “There could not be a better fit with the AWA Group than Pronovem, which brings deep IP experience that aligns with our mission, vision and purpose. There is an incredible opportunity ahead for knowledge and expertise sharing as we become one of the largest IP firms in Europe with a presence in Asia.”
Moving forward, AWA’s strategy focuses on continuing to deliver services tailored to clients’ business needs, on digital innovation and looking at tools that reduce workload and save time.
“Combining Pronovem and AWA’s resources creates a strong and unique offering for our clients as we also have a focus on digital solutions and together, we can provide the IP tools of the future,” stated Dominique Rifon, CEO and senior partner at Pronovem.
Most importantly, AWA – which is 100% owned by employees – places a significant emphasis on its human capital. Over half of current managers are women. Alongside its gender equality initiative, AWA is dedicated to creating a better workplace through its Great Place to Work programme.
