TDR Capital completes acquisition from H.I.G. Capital of a majority stake in Gruppo Acqua & Sapone

TDR Capital, a leading European private equity firm, has completed the acquisition from H.I.G. Capital, a leading global private equity and alternative assets firm with more than $64 billion in capital under management, of the Acqua & Sapone Group.

Acqua & Sapone has a turnover of more than €1.1 billion and is a leader in Italy in the sale of a wide range of home and personal care products at affordable prices through a network of more than 700 stores.

Chiomenti advised the buyer TDR Capital with a team led by partner Franco Agopyan and composed of managing associate Mario Pelli Cattaneo and associates Maria Laura Zucchini, Alessandro Cicala, Francesca Andrisani and Enrica Bertoldi, who handled Corporate/M&A aspects. Partner Massimo Antonini and counsel Elisabetta Costanza Pavesi handled the tax profiles, while partners Benedetto La Russa and Marco Paruzzolo handled the financial ones and counsel Fiona Gaia Gittardi and associate Filippo Villa the labor law ones.
