Squire Patton Boggs appoints Mayte Requejo as head of the economic crime area
Mayte Requejo, until now of counsel of the economic criminal practice at Pérez-Llorca, joins Javier Izquierdo‘s team to lead the same area at Squire Patton Boggs.
After the incorporation of Javier Izquierdo in September, the firm led by Teresa Zueco appoints Mayte Requejo, until now of counsel at Pérez-Llorca, to lead Squire Patton Boggs’ Economic Criminal and Compliance area. The lawyer, who joins the North American firm, will join the Litigation and Arbitration team led by Izquierdo.
With a PhD in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master’s Degree in Health Law, Requejo has more than 20 years of experience and a high degree of specialization in advising in the areas of criminal law and economic criminal law, matters on which she has made numerous publications and opinions. She is also a professor of Criminal Law at Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICADE, combining her academic work with the professional practice of law, advising individuals and companies before national and international courts.
According to Javier Izquierdo, director of the litigation practice of Squire Patton Boggs in Madrid: “With the incorporation of Mayte we consolidate our service offering in an essential area such as economic criminal law.
