Portuguese law firm Vieira de Almeida (VdA) has announced the expansion of its network to Brazil and Spain, strengthening its presence in key markets to enhance client proximity and address the evolving business demands.
This strategic move underscores VdA’s commitment to fostering synergies across its jurisdictions while strengthening commercial ties within the European Union and the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP).
The VdA Legal Partners presence in Brazil and Spain will focus exclusively on foreign legal consultancy. It will be led by Fernando Prado Ferreira in Brazil—a dual-qualified lawyer in Brazil and Portugal, formerly responsible for the Portuguese Desk at Brazilian law firm Pinheiro Neto Advogados—and Fernando Resina da Silva, a VdA partner, in Spain.
Paula Gomes Freire, managing partner, highlighted the significance of this expansion: “This expansion of the VdA Legal Partners network to two of the economies with the greatest impact on Portugal is a very significant milestone in our international growth. We strive to be where our clients operate and to bring Portugal closer to Brazilian and Spanish investors.”
The firm further emphasized that this move represents a significant step in VdA’s internationalisation strategy, translating into a strong investment in ensuring greater proximity to its clients and responding to the growing demands of today’s dynamic and highly competitive markets.
