Peru’s Rubio Leguía Normand promotes partner
Peruvian law firm Rubio Leguía Normand has announced the promotion of principal associate Miguel Ángel Soto to partner.

A member of the firm’s natural resources, mining, Environmental and negotiation, community relations and dispute management practices, Miguel Ángel is an attorney in law who graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
He has significant experience in advising mining and energy companies, as well as investors, government entities, multilateral organizations and international cooperation agencies.
He also has ample experience in the negotiation of agreements, the execution of investments and divestments, the acquisition and financing of projects and assets, permit management, and consulting on compliance with regulatory obligations.
He has also worked on the analysis and management of complex environmental and social aspects linked to the utilization and management of natural resources.
With this promotion, the firm reaffirms its commitment to supporting the growth of its young talent and maintaining its position as one of the main mining practices in the country.
In addition to Miguel Ángel’s promotion, the firm has also promoted four of its associates.
Carla Zelada, in the tax practice, and Anghelo Olarte in the dispute resolution practice, have been promoted to principal associates, while Yajahida Ramírez (tax practice) has been promoted to senior associate and Ana Lucía Castillo (labor practice) has been promoted to junior associate.
