Peru’s Petra legal welcomes two partners

Peruvian law firm Petra Legal has announced the addition of two partners and an associate.

Claudia Chong and Diego Grisolle join the firm as partners in the corporate and commercial practice and mining and natural resources practice, respectively, while Renato Angulo Rodríguez joins the firm as an associate in the corporate and commercial practice.

Claudia Chong joins the from Berninzon & Benavides, where she held the position of partner, having garnered ample experience while working for that firm for 16 years. Prior to that, she was a partner at Rubio Leguia Normand, from where she moved from Estudio Bellido, Saco Vértiz & Bellido, where she was a senior attorney.

She holds a law degree from the Universidad de Lima.

For his part, Diego Grisolle joins the firm from Rubio Leguia Normand, where he was a partner in the firm’s mining and natural resources practice for four years, after having spent 19 years at law firm García Sayán, within which he also rose to the position of partner.

He also holds a law degree from the Universidad de Lima, and a diploma in environmental and natural resources from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.

The firm’s new associate, Renato Angulo Rodríguez, also joins from Rubio Leguia Normand, and he also holds a law degree from the Universidad de Lima.

With the new appointments, “we consolidate our firm and expand our practice areas to continue providing a high quality service to our national and international clients”, the firm said in a statement.
