Peru’s Estudio Muñiz adds senior partner
Peruvian law firm Muñiz, Olaya, Meléndez, Castro, Ono & Herrera Abogados has announced the addition of Carlos Arata as a senior partner in the corporate and M&A and banking and finance areas.
Carlos holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), in addition to an LLM in corporate law from NYU University and an LLM in finance and corporate law from ESAN University.
During his career he has been a foreign associate in prestigious firms such as Sidley Austin LLP, DLA Piper and Clifford Chance.
In Peru, he was a partner in the corporate law area of Rubio Leguía Normand Abogados, and has carried out project finance, M&A and capital markets transactions, and participated in a variety of corporate financings.
Commenting on his new position, Carlos said: "I join a new family, where I will contribute to the growth of the banking and finance, capital markets and corporate law practices. It is a challenge that I take on with great excitement, enthusiasm and pride”.
