Paxlegal Strengthens Corporate Practice with New Of Counsel

Paxlegal has announced the appointment of Francisco de Mendonça Tavares as Of Counsel, strengthening its Corporate, Capital Markets, Private Clients, and Investment practices.
With more than 25 years of experience, Francisco de Mendonça Tavares has built his career at leading national and international law firms and has held partner positions across different legal projects. His practice focuses on Corporate Law, M&A, Banking and Finance, and Real Estate, with significant experience in venture capital, private equity, and corporate governance.

Throughout his career, Francisco de Mendonça Tavares has advised on complex investment transactions, corporate reorganizations, and wealth structuring matters, supporting private clients, family offices, and business groups on succession and family business reorganization issues.
Alongside his legal practice, he has also held leadership and investment-related roles, including participation in venture capital transactions and corporate governance functions. He is also a founding partner and board member of a venture capital company regulated by the CMVM.
Francisco de Mendonça Tavares holds a Law degree from the Portuguese Catholic University, an LL.M. in International Business Law from King’s College London, and a postgraduate qualification in Accounting and Finance from the Portuguese Catholic University.
