Chile’s Albagli Zaliasnik has announced the promotion of intellectual and industrial property and technology specialist Eugenio Gormáz and Jorge Arredondo, expert in labor law, to a partner level position.
Gormáz, who joined the firm in 2008, has in-depth knowledge of intellectual and industrial property rights, mainly in trademarks and patents, copyright, information technology, advertising law, licensing and brand protection, plant varieties, appellations of origin, geographical indications and litigations matters. He has implemented strategies for the protection of IP rights in Chile and abroad to national and international clients in different sectors, such as pharmaceuticals, telecoms and transport and retail.

Arredondo, who joined the firm seven years ago, has focused his expertise on labor law, advising clients in corporate and litigation matters related to this branch of law, which includes collective-bargaining processes, labor issues, evaluation of labor contingencies arising from M&A, and litigation before labor and superior courts of justice. He advises companies in different industries on all areas of labor regulation and employment, as well as on compliance and due diligence.
