New partner appointment at Rimon Law
As part of its global expansion plan, US law firm Rimon Law has hired Rodrigo Castillo Cottin as a tax and private client partner in the firm’s first Latin American office to focus on trusts & estates and tax law in Bogota, Colombia. Castillo is the 27th partner to join the firm this year and Bogota marks the 7th office that the firm has opened in 2020.

Castillo has extensive experience advising multijurisdictional companies, financial institutions and high-net worth individuals and families on wealth management matters, international tax law, planning, compliance, inheritance and estate planning, exchange of information and amnesty programs.
He joins from Baker McKenzie, where he worked as a partner for the last 15 years. A Universidad Monteavila graduate, holds an advanced master’s in international tax law from Leiden University and earned his tax specialization from Universidad Externardo de Colombia.
