Nabarro & Pfeferman Advogados unveils two new partners

In early January, dynamic M&A and venture capital boutique Nabarro & Pfeferman Advogados announced the promotion of attorneys Luiza Martinez and Matheus de Morais Barroso to partners, in a move that bolsters the firm’s capabilities in the innovation ecosystem, especially in tech-related M&A transactions and venture capital deals.   

Luiza Martinez has over seven years of experience in the legal market and specializes in M&A, venture capital and private equity deals in the tech arena, which includes strategic transactions, fund formations and fundraising. She has previously worked within distinguished law firms such as Velloza Advogados Associados, Baptista Luz Advogados and Candido Martins Advogados, as well as at Brazilian fintech Educbank, before joining NPAdv in mid-2021. 

Academically, Ms. Martinez holds a Bachelor of Laws from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and is currently undertaking a Bachelor degree in Accounting  from Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Contábeis, Atuariais e Financeiras (FIPECAFI).   

Matheus de Morais Barroso has an extensive track record handling M&A, venture capital and private equity deals within the tech and startups ecosystem  and additionally focuses on cross-border transactions, complex corporate restructurings and the setting up of long-term incentive programs. Mr. Barroso previously worked at top-tier law firms such as TozziniFreire Advogados and Baptista Luz Advogados before joining Nabarro & Pfeferman in 2020.
