Posted on Jul 21, 2026

Following Denton’s announcement last week that it will be absorbing Matthew Arnold and Baldwin’s entire banking and litigation team, comprising 11 partners, 34 associates and 30 paralegals, the whole firm has decided to close its doors. MAB will officially stop trading on 31st of January.
Iain Donaldson, who has been with MAB since 1992 and has been a partner since 2012, will be heading to the London office of Hill Dickinson. His specialties are tax, probates, trusts and wealth protection for clients including accountancy firms, high net worth individuals and charities.
Equity partner Mark Weston and some members of his commercial, intellectual property (IP) and IT teams are set to join Hill Dickinson in London by the end of January as well. The rest of the lawyers are set to join Veale Wasbrough Vizards.
