Luxembourg-based law firm Bonn & Schmitt reinforces its practices' coverage

Bonn & Schmitt just recruited 9 lawyers including 2 partners Cédric Bellwald (corporate and restructuring law expert) and Gabriel Bleser (administrative and employment law) coming from Moyse Bleser. They join their new firm on October 1st and Bleser becomes its new managing partner, a function held up to now by Alex Schmitt.

The new arrivals will allow the firm to significantly expand the scope of its offer. Traditionally oriented towards financial aspects – corporate law, banking law, funds, tax law, insurance and reinsurance law, etc. - Bonn & Schmitt has now gained expertise in litigation and employment law.

Bon & Schmitt aims to consolidate its position in the local market while at the same time remaining oriented towards international clientele. The ex-Moyse Bleser lawyers have extensive experience working with Luxembourg clients and SMEs in particular.

With 11 employees, Moyse Bleser was looking to expand in order to attract SMEs and foreign companies as clients. However founding partner Francois Moyse wasn’t interested and left to create his own firm at the beginning of July.

The additions of 9 new lawyers mean that Bonn & Schmitt now has 47 employees, including 31 lawyers, and will be able to compete with the larger Luxembourg firms.
