IMCD Group acquires Quelaris Internacional´s subsidiaries
IMCD Group, a global leader in the distribution and formulation of speciality chemicals and ingredients, has announced the acquisition of 100% of the business and the subsidiaries of Quelaris Internacional, a regional LATAM raw-material distributor with offices in Colombia, Costa Rica and Peru.
IMCD Group has global presence across EMEA, Asia-Pacific and the Americas. It offers a range of comprehensive product portfolios and across eight business groups, its market specialists collaborating with suppliers and customers to help find solutions that embrace industry trends.
Quelaris focuses on enabling industry growth, creating reliable, long-lasting relationships, offering top quality products and a team committed to fulfilling the needs of clients in an environment that is increasingly focused on sustainability.
The acquisition involved the subsidiaries of Quelaris Costa Rica, Quelaris Guatemala, Quelaris Colombia, Quelaris Peru, Quelaris Dominicana and Quelaris Chile.
The transaction also involved the sale of certain assets belonging to Quelaris Internacional related to the distribution business carried out by the target companies and by four companies from the Quelaris Group that were excluded from the transaction.
The addition of Quelaris further reinforces the approach of creating growth opportunities for IMCD supply and customer partners.
The transaction is expected to close on in March 2022.
