Compliance specialist Olaf Schneider has joined Hogan Lovells as partner in its compliance & investigations practice.

Schneider most recently served as general counsel, chief compliance officer and Executive Vice President at industrial services provider Bilfinger, prior to which, he was a general counsel in Siemens' industrial division and chief compliance officer at MAN. He has also held various management positions within General Electric.
Schneider has extensive national and international experience in complex legal and compliance issues. Among other things, he has guided MAN through various compliance topics and, while at Bilfinger, was responsible for the successful completion of a monitoring process imposed by the US DoJ, playing a key role in the implementation of an effective global compliance management system. This much was certified by the independent DoJ-appointted compliance monitor.
In his new role, Schneider will be part of a 60-person team spread across Munich, Hamburg, Frankfurt and Berlin
