Helicentro sells stake in its aircraft maintenance business in Peru

Helicentro Perú has announced the sale of 55% of its aircraft maintenance services business in Peru to Helistar Technical Center, a Colombian company

Helicentro Perú has more than 15 years of experience in the Peruvian market, providing aircraft maintenance services mainly to the Peruvian armed forces.

The acquisition by Helistar de Colombia is expected to further enhance the company's scope of services and business expansion.

Helicentro launched in 2005 in Argentina, and its Peruvian subsidiary provides aeronautical maintenance and repair services to the Peruvian armed forces, as well as to the country’s civil aviation sector.

According to the company’s website, Helicentro is the most advanced Argentine aeronautical company in Aeronautical information for the maintenance and repair of aircraft.

In addition, the company provides air navigation publications, equipment, parts and aeronautical supplies, and acts as a representative for a number of companies supplying the aviation sector, such as GE, Bombardier, Embraer and Beechcraft.

Peruvian law firm Hernández & Cía. Abogados advised the shareholders of Helicentro on the sale, with a team led by partners Fernando Nuñez and Sandro Cogorno, with associate Andrés Marcos.
