Guala Closures completes acquisitions in Kenya and Austria

Guala Closures S.p.A. — a global player in specialty closure solutions for the beverage sector, controlled by Investindustrial — has recently completed two acquisitions in Kenya and Austria.

Guala Closures S.p.A. — a global player in specialty closure solutions for the beverage sector, controlled by Investindustrial — has recently completed two acquisitions in Kenya and Austria.

In Kenya, Guala Closures S.p.A. finalized the acquisition of the Metal Crowns Group, the leading producer in East Africa of crown caps and plastic closures for the bottling market. Founded in 1978 and based in Nairobi, Metal Crowns Group serves blue-chip global customers in the beer and carbonated soft drinks sectors across East Africa and has two production plants in the region.

In Austria, it completed the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Kunststoffwerk Kremsmünster GmbH, a leading Austrian manufacturer of plastic closures and precision dosing devices for the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical markets. Established in 1950 and headquartered in Kremsmünster, Austria, KWK serves an extensive portfolio of global customers, including leading multinational pharmaceutical corporations.
