Grupo Bel acquires stake in Global Media Group
Grupo Bel has acquired a stake in Portuguese media corporation Global Media Group.

Global Media Group owns 19 Portuguese media outlets including Diário de Notícias and TSF, and also holds a stake in news agency Lusa.
Founded by Portuguese entrepreneur Marco Galinha in 2001, Grupo Bel is comprised of companies operating in six sectors: distribution and vending; industry, automation, aeronautic and aerospace; innovation, technology and communication; green transportation; real estate; and brands.
Global Media Group’s other shareholders include KNJ Global Holdings, José Pedro Carvalho Reis Soeiro, Olivemedia, Unipessoal, Lda, Novo Banco and Grandes Notícias.
The group CEO of Global Media Group is José Pedro Soeiro. The management team also includes: Afonso Camões, Guilherme Pinheiro, Kevin Ho, Philip Yip and Paulo Rego.
Cuatrecasas advised Grupo Bel on the negotiations – the team was coordinated by Francisco Santos Costa, and included Pedro Sacadura Botte, Pedro Marques Bom and Bruno de Zêzere Barradas.
